What we collect

Your email address, a display name you choose and a password hash, to run your account. For each day: the total minutes your phone screen was in use, the number of unlocks, the date and your time zone.

What we do not collect

Which apps you use, when you use them, or any per-app times. The app reads app usage on your phone (Android "Usage access") to compute the daily total; that detail stays on your phone. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Why

To show your totals to you and to the members of groups you join, and to compute leaderboards, streaks and duel winners.

Who sees it

Members of your groups see your display name and, from the day you join a group, your daily totals. Nobody else. We never show your email address to other users. We do not sell or share data with third parties. Email is sent through Brevo only for account verification and password reset.

Where

On a server in the European Union (Germany). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

How long

Daily totals are kept for 400 days, then deleted automatically. Finished duels and their results are deleted 400 days after the duel ended. Backups are kept for 14 days.

Deletion

Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or follow screenduel.mrax.net/delete-account. All your data is removed from the server immediately and from backups within 14 days. The only trace is an anonymous place in finished duels: "Deleted user", with no numbers.

Age

screenduel is meant for people aged 16 and over.
